Graphite Applications
With
the resulting wide variety of material modifications and grades
designed to meet individual application requirements, the specialty
graphite grades of the Industrial Applications Business Segment
are well placed to act as key materials in the primary and secondary
metallurgy sectors, tool, glass and ceramics manufacture, the
electrochemical and nuclear industries, and also in laboratory
and medical technology.
Graphite products for industrial applications range from coarse
grain feed stock to precision machined parts of high purity, fine
grain graphites for numerous industries.
We
offer a comprehensive range of materials, from isostatic graphite,
extruded, die and vibration molded graphite, flexible and rigid
felt (SIGRATHERM®) to carbon fiber composites (SIGRABOND®),
optimally suited to the customer application requirements. We also
provide in-house expertise for design, engineering and machining
of even the most complicated graphite, carbon-carbon and felt components.

High Temperature Applications
This
Business Segment supplies a full range of materials for industrial
furnace engineering, the hard metal industry, aerospace technology
and chemical process engineering.
We can draw on our long-standing materials expertise and vast experience
with high-temperature processes. This enables us to supply customized
package systems covering everything from the design to the commissioning
of complete high-temperature plants and chemical process equipment.
We offer a comprehensive range of materials such as iso-graphite,
extruded and vibration molded graphite, carbon fiber composites
(SIGRABOND®), felt (SIGRATHERM®) and foils (SIGRAFLEX®)
for industrial furnace construction, hot zone, heat treating, aerospace
and chemical process technology.
Based on the long-term know-how in materials and high temperature
technology, we provide our customers individual and complete solutions
from the design, engineering to the start-up of high temperature
systems and chemical plants.

Applications
This Business Segment supplies a wide range of components made of
high-purity graphite, carbon fiber-reinforced carbon and felt for
semiconductor and solar technology, thermal engineering and energy
technology.
We
offer a wide range of components made of high purity graphite, carbon
fiber reinforced carbon (SIGRABOND®) and felt (SIGRATHERM®)
for semiconductor technology, power generation and thermal and power
management.
We
have developed special grades for all applications in all required
sizes and offer all types of graphite materials - isostatic graphites,
extruded and vibration molded graphites, carbon fiber composites
(SIGRABOND®), insulation materials and coatings. All products
can be supplied in highest purity to less than 5 PPM.
